Southwest Quadrant features a variety of transportation options including a reliable public transit system with convenient bus lines and stops. Its reasonably good bicycling network provides additional ways to navigate the neighborhood. Residents benefit from close access to numerous grocery stores as well as a selection of appealing restaurants and cafes. A number of primary schools are located nearby, making educational facilities accessible. The neighborhood boasts well-placed green spaces that are easy to reach from most areas, providing attractive outdoor settings. Housing includes a diverse mix of townhouses and apartments, primarily with one and two-bedroom units built mostly since 1984.

Southwest Quadrant offers a wonderful selection of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant ambience. It is very easy to get to public green spaces from numerous locations in the neighborhood since there are about 30 of them close by for residents to visit. Lastly, this area is a very good neighborhood for those who don't mind a bit of noise, as traffic during busy hours can occasionally be loud, although there are still several quieter pockets.
